1. General situation of the project and plant
This is a project for high-way building. The project is equipped with a 75m3 stationary concrete batching plant that is able to supply two kinds of concrete for the whole construction period.
2. Principles in selecting installation site of the plant
First, the distance between the plant and explosion points of the project should be longer than 300 meters.
Second, the site should be so arranged that it’s convenient for aggregate trucks and concrete mixer trucks to travel around. It should also be as near the project site as possible, so that the concrete delivery time will be controlled in 30 minutes, which helps to keep ready mix concrete in a good state.
Third, water and electricity supply should be convenient.
3. Model selection of the concrete mixing plant
Based on the construction period and plan, the whole plant takes up an area of 2417 square meters, and its capacity is 75m3 per hour. Four storage houses and one powder silo are needed. All these can store materials for 500m3 concrete. We choose a 750L concrete mixer to meet such a requirement.
4. Cement storage and delivery
This concrete batching plant uses loose-packed cement which will be stored in a 100-ton silo. The delivery of cement should be negotiated in advance with cement suppliers.
5. Delivery and storage of aggregates and liquids
A 2000m3 storage site is designed for aggregates and sands. A ZL-50 loading machine is equipped to feed aggregates. Liquids are stored in special rooms.
6. Delivery of concrete
The plant is about 1200 meters away from the construction project. Concrete mixers are adopted to deliver ready mix concrete to the project. The concrete are then made flat by lobar work and machines.
7. Guarantee measures of consistent production
Two sets of generators are prepared in case of shortage of electricity supply.
8. Guarantee measures of concrete quality
First, The concrete batching plant design is in accordance with relative constructional technical standards and quality requirements. Corresponding rules are made to guarantee the efficient execution of the rules.
Second, quality of raw materials of the concrete must be under strict control with multiple inspection of material keepers and plant managers. Unqualified materials must be kicked out.
Third, there is strict control of concrete production process. The plant is equipped with automatic weighing and distributing devices to have sands, aggregates, powders, water and other liquids weighed and distributed. The errors are within given standards.
Fourth, no person are allowed to operate the plant without relative certificates.
9. Management of the concrete batching plant
This plant is of automatic control, and operators must finish high school to reach operation level required. They must also have certificates of the industry and follow relative operation rules.
